One word is enough to describe me. I'm a traveller, a nomad. I'm happy when I'm moving. I have the chances to be living a year abroad, and I intend to live it fully. It's up to you to follow me!

The Germans in Lund

It is quite remarkable how many German students there are in Lund. Almost one international student out of three is from Germany. It is nice to meet so many Germans, as it is a fascinating country, but it also has it's downsides. For example, when I'm hanging out at Spoletorp, there's always a bunch of German students in the kitchen and, most of the time, they talk among themselves in German. This has happened a few times when I was actually the only non-german speaker in the room. I didn't feel included at that time, and so I try to always speak english even when I'm with French speakers. I think this is a question of respect, because nobody likes feeling left out, especially when you're in a foreign country where you don't know anybody. On the other hand, when they actually do speak english, all those German people are quite nice and friendly!
