Link to my pictures!

For all those who are watching this page, I am posting the link to my picture pages. This way, I won't have to send an e-mail every time I create a new album! The links are in blue in the description, below the two pictures.

The Germans in Lund

It is quite remarkable how many German students there are in Lund. Almost one international student out of three is from Germany. It is nice to meet so many Germans, as it is a fascinating country, but it also has it's downsides. For example, when I'm hanging out at Spoletorp, there's always a bunch of German students in the kitchen and, most of the time, they talk among themselves in German. This has happened a few times when I was actually the only non-german speaker in the room. I didn't feel included at that time, and so I try to always speak english even when I'm with French speakers. I think this is a question of respect, because nobody likes feeling left out, especially when you're in a foreign country where you don't know anybody. On the other hand, when they actually do speak english, all those German people are quite nice and friendly!

Explanation note / Note explicative

So, here I am, I have finally arrived to Sweden! I will try to post on this blog as often as possible. This is not intended to be a travel journal. On this blog, I will write my impressions on my surroundings, the places I visit, the people I meet etc. Each entry will have a single subject, such as "IKEA" or "Germany in Sweden". I will write entries in either french or english. I'm sorry for those who don't read both languages, but I don't have time to write everything in double! However, if you are REALLY interested in a topic and can't read the message, just send me an e-mail and I will then translate it for you. And, for those who might think this is just a way to get more e-mails, well, you are right! I love getting news from you people, so get to your computers and start typing!
